Pub at the bank of the river Schelde in Antwerp.
Design and co-ordination assignment for a pub at the bank of the river Schelde in Antwerp.
When first called to this assignment the work had already started. It was our job to make a master plan witch included the already actualised work.
Plumbing, electrical works, sanitary and heating needed to be replaced and adjusted.
Special precautions where taken to prevent water damage in case of a high-tide.
At both entrances pits where made in witch pumps where mounted so the water can be pumped outdoors.
The furniture is designed in a nautical style, yet functional and up to date.
On top of the building a fake-chimney was placed on witch the name of the pub is painted.
At night the chimney is illuminated and acts as a attraction-pole.
