Luxurious studio on the Grand Place in Antwerp. The owner wanted to live in the centre of Antwerp because of his profession. The whole floor was in a very bad shape. The existing floor was in such a bad state that on top of it a new self-carrying floor needed to be placed. During the demolition, different original constructive elements appeared which were processed in the design.
The separation between living area and bedroom is like a transparant curtain. It screens off sufficiently and also gives a special incidence of light in the bedroom which was very dark before. Behind the mirror wall that reaches from top to floor, a corner bath and washbowel are installed.
