A garden room for a typical ’80 house

On to a typical ’80 house a garden room is added.
From the living room on the second floor their was no contact with the garden

The Studiebureau decided to expand the house on the ground floor and create a new garden/living room. A low volume is designed and placed over the existing pond.

Around the room large eaves are made in a tropical wood witch provides a natural sunscreen. The walls have a finish in coloured polyester plasterwork.

The size of the living room makes it possible to freely arrange the furniture. Inside a very austere fire place in Belgian blue stone is designed.

In combination with the existing floor in burgundy tiles a parquet in beech is chosen for the new room. All the furniture is custom made and designed.
